1st meal!

So last Sunday Chris and I decided to start shoving food into Alex's mouth!

We decided this based on the fact that at our dinner he kept making his
little chewing face. (Ok I admit I was looking for any excuse)

So why not!

There is debate as to the best way to start solid food with infants.
I decided to skip putting it in his bottle and have opted for the spoon.
They say that this helps them learn to eat better/sooner.

Organic Rice Cereal here we come!

FYI: it tastes like really bland paste, YUM!

So with Chris doing camera duty,
and Alex all suited up in plastic bib
we were ready to go.....

I must admit I was expecting more,
more of what I don't know,
but more


It was pretty funny though...

Today I didn't have a cute little baby boy to come home too from work.

Nope, today I had a Mr FussyButt.

Why Mr.FussyButt?

Well yesterday little fussy went to the doctor for his 4 month check up.

In other words he was stripped down to his diaper, poked and prodded,
and if that wasn't enough.....

he got shots!

So today he was just fussy and crabby

Fussy and crabby and wanted to be held,

Not just held but held and rocked
while walking of course.

I 'm guessing its his way of letting us know that shots are no fun.

On the good side of things Alex did get a clean bill of health,
and now weighs 15lbs 14oz and is 26.25 inches long!

Dr Pepper even gave us permission to start giving Xander solid foods!

Just wait till I upload that video!

Fish Tank?

Ever find yourself mesmerized by a tank full of fish?

Well thats kinda how it is for me when I watch little Alex watch his mobile.

Well, I guess fish don't make me smile as much.

TWO years ago Chris and I got all hitched up and stuff.

We celebrated by droppin' off the kid so we could have a fancy intimate dinner.
Yep that Olive Garden rocked.
Hey you may laugh, but compared to last year when I was far away in Denver and all "sick with the flu" breadsticks and screaming children is a huge improvement.
