Aisle 7

The "New Millenium" creates a new kind of mom,

I mean, we are busy ladies with lots of responsibilites,
Careers, Diapers, a frantic homelife, Dad's (perhaps the biggest child)

So how does a New Mil Mom do a play date?

At Super Target of course!

Groceries, Medicine, Laundry Soap, Onesies...

and

TWINS!

Can you say HOT DATE in Aisle 7?

Apparently Veronica and Madeliene can!

Careful Alex, Isabella might get jealous.

Shhhhh.....

Shhhhhh...........

Alex is napping so I have to make this quick today!

This week has been a busy one for our little Xan-man
He has finally discovered the "magic baby face" machine!
(aka mirrors are fun!)

Even better is that now he doesn't seem to hate tummy time!

Although it is a little exhausting

I am a bit worried though...

Apparently he thinks the baby is tasty.

"What!?"

.............................

Besides sucking mirrors Alex's biggest development this week was TEETH!!

Yep! It was a very long Monday, and Tuesday wasn't much better....
But we have our TWO FRONT TEETH!
(if you keeping count that means 4 total!)

I wish I could show you a pic but he does like to keep somethings private.

ok gotta go - he just woke up!

Stats

This is not the topic for today.

It just cracks me up.

So what is today's topic?

Today was our Xan-man's 6 month check up,
The doctor took alot of time to calm me of my fears,
And to let me know that Alex was in great condition.

Plus we officially know how big he is!

Drum-roll ............

18lbs 4oz

and a whopping 28 1/4 inches tall!

I told you he was big!

ok thats all

Yoga

Alex and I went to Yoga yesterday!
I have the week off and wanted to make sure I got some good bonding time in.

Yep, I paid my $16.00 and "dropped in" on a Mommy and Me class.
I got all "undressed" up in a "not trying to be cool" yoga outfit,
Eager to bond with baby, and hopefully other moms too!

Of course when I get there, the moms are all skinny little things ...
No one is talking, not even the babies...
The room is all kinds of hot and sweaty, even before we start
And my friend Ginny has stood me up!
(some excuse about a major baby melt down)

Ten minutes into the class Xander starts to melt down.
literally...
I strip him down to the diaper and spend about ten minutes calming him down.

Thankfully we reached the part of the class I knew he would enjoy...
"Use the baby as a weight" and "throw" the little bugger around.

He was thrilled to be bench pressed.
He enjoyed the leg lifts
And couldn't get enough of the "Swinging Airplane"

My muscles however... did not.
He is one heavy little guy to begin with, and then add twenty crunches!

After more streching and posing get to the point of the class that I enjoy...
"The Yoga Nap"
(I'm sure there's some fancy word for it,
but its the mediation part )

I get him calmed down again, roll over onto my back, close my eyes and relax.

Breath in

Breath out

Breath in

Roll back over to find that Xander ROLLED OVER!

I Missed It!
He went from his back to his tummy and I was less than a foot away!
Arghh!!!

Once again another piece of evidence to prove my son is an evil genius.

I like to call it his "Ninja Roll"
(no one has ever actually seen him do it)

Baby Pic-i-nic

This past Sunday was spent at the park with my Mama's Group!

Can you say Pic-i-nic ?

Well Xander tried...

At first he was too shy to join in the group...

And then he was to tired...

After a twenty minute nap in mommy's arms...

Picture Time!

If you remember, we tried this photo about 5 months ago

This time we were missing the twins....
and patience...

I should have also been picking up my baby -
but no, I thought it would make good video.

Hopefully next time we will actually get to play with the babies
