Xander has finally started to bond with his blankie!

He likes to throw it to the ground and lay down on it.

When visiting Gamma Q this past weekend he discovered a new way to play......

Event: FIRST STEPS!!!!

In an attempt to keep working on his walking skills I pulled up Alex to his feet and held on to his little hands to help him walk, but I tricked him, let go and instead of him standing for few seconds and then falling like he usually does...

he took three steps!

Whoo Hoo!

I then squeeled for joy, called Chris into the room and we replayed the event!

I can't really explain the overwhelming joy that has come over me.

I am just so proud of the little guy!

Just thinking about it gives me this big stupid grin. he he

I can't wait to take him outside, and to the zoo, and to all of those other fun walking things!

So today we kept practicing and at one point he got up to four steps!

On a side note: The clapping is new too -
he seemed to really take off with that one today as well!

I know that things will never be the same, but I don't care....

Every little step is awesome, cause it means we are going forward!

Improvement!

So we are still not walking....yet
But at least now he can "steer"

although it pretty much only applies to walls, not small toys.

We are also still not talking, well in English that is..

But c'mon that's not the point is it?
the point is how cute was that snot at the end?

Now that I am not working so many crazy hours,
I got to actually spend the afternoon with my son!

WHOO HOOO!

We played with all of his favorite toys ...

Usually its me..

One of his new favorite games is putting juice lids inside a can.

Playing with juice lids does make one a bit thirsty...

He also loves to rearrange my furniture....

and take his Tryke out for a spin.....

although I think it was meant for riding not pushin....

And why push when you can just crawl and stare at mommy....

Camera Shy

Taking photos of Xander has been a but tricky these past few days,
I mean he has all these new "mad skillz" that I want to show off...

But all he wants to do is stop playing, and play with mama's camera.

Well at least you can see he's starting to master pointing....

... and shooing away the paparazzi
